Thought of the day (10102014):
Acquiring knowledge in one's early phase in life is quiet significant rather important and is more essential.
One must know what knowledge he needs to know because:
a) 'k' is silent many times in knowledge though nobody knows why k is always silent in knowledge, knowing something, or when not knowing something too.
b) just because it is silent, it does not automatically mean you know everything why it is so silent
c) despite being silent, knowledge enables the person who knows it to become a knowledgeable person because he keeps constantly in his trait to know when to say NO and when to say YES so he has the liberty to keep the edge over others, specially his competitors.
Knowing the knowledge of how to acquire the knowhow is by itself a special knowledge which is known as skillset.
Knowledge, skillset and talent are commonly used phrases in terms of academic excellence to denote someone's quality by virtue of what he has or has not achieved in life.
Knowledge is obtained or learnt by experience many a times, not necessarily as believed to be picked from a formal High School or University education.
Skill (or skillset) is obtained by applying the knowledge one possesses by default or by virtue.
Talent is explained in the way the knowledge or skillset is utilized to exercise one's knowledge into meaningful application of mind, concepts and principles associated therewith.
One needs to possess the requisite talent to exhibit his skillset or knowledge; the opposite is also true in that mere having knowledge or skillset is NOT enough, per se. One who knows everything about something or something about everything might mean nothing when he does not possess the talent to perform what he aspires to accomplish.
A resource in the form of Human Resource is purportedly assumed to have all or any of these three traits, viz. knowledge, skillset and talent.
History has time and again proved sheer talent is enough, and without knowledge, one can survive and prove to be a great leader, leader in the sense of a social setup or a corporate body for that matter.
In a profession, climbing corporate ladder shall be achieved with little or no knowledge, but still the guy needs to possess enormous volume of skills (that can be termed as talent per se) but he might be exposed one day for the lack of his knowledge.
Many great achievers have proved their worth or mantle by sheer talent to circumvent hurdles and obstacles on the go, simply because of sheer determination to succeed in life in whatever goals, objectives, ambitions or whatsoever.
