How to express yourself, trouble-free? Workplace Dilemmas (1)

How to express yourself trouble-free?

Many a times, we get ideas, topics or themes or situations where we feel like expressing ourselves to outside world.

Be it your workplace, home, circle of friends or social media or whatever circumstances you are in, you know you have something to say, but you are in a dilemma like these:

Workplace dilemmas:
In current main-stream mechanical or materialistic world, at work place in any given industry, public or private enterprises, MNCs, Body Corporates or any place on earth for that matter, you get chances to express yourself concerning a problem or issue relating to your job or profession.

It might even be a subject where you need to express in an interactive meeting - in a conference room or board room meeting - but due to work place ethics and time constraints, the meeting organizer or powers-that-be might not give you leverage to take on the mantle of expressing outwardly, with a view NOT to deviate from the topic or agenda of the meeting where it is called for; not to entertain unnecessary display of 'exhibitionism of talent or skills' that would otherwise would benefit the corporate or company, however, in order to curtail your thought process from getting your message sent across, you might be stopped abruptely and you don't get a chance to explicitely convey what you have in mind.

The funny part is before or after every meeting agenda, the organizer would call for questions at the end of the meeting, as if to show they are giving opportunity to talk but their idea behind keeping the Q&A session, towards the fage end of the meeting is: they fully are aware it's only a formality to show off the management is giving a chance for staff or employees to say what they have to say, however, they have their privilege and liberty, with the excuse that 'we don't have the luxury of time, we cannot discuss anything further. Thanks for your time, anyone has any concerns, please share your ideas or concerns, offline, and we would take it then forward suitably' sort of.

If you choose to express yourself offline to powers-that-be, however they realize you are right in principle in sharing what you have in mind; however they realize you have a genuine concern on the organizational interest so you are sharing your thoughts there, still, they don't entertain further dialogue.  Many corporate managements would instead take you up and take you seriously in that 'they ensure to sideline you for future meetings by not inviting you to such meetings because they fully know you might have your own agenda to talk about' OR, worst case, they make every effort to keep you in dark with whatever developments and they end up avoiding you per se.

Some may even take this route. They take your ideas, and freely implement them as if it is theirs and take credit in front of top management and you have no clue of what's happening and you end up losing morale.  Unless you as an employee or individual have the wherewithal to withstand workplace problems, tackle interpersonal relationships to the next level by avoiding upfront confrontational aspects and unless you know how to engage yourself regardless the reaction or counter-reaction for your deeds.  If you must be studious and shrewd enough to by pass all and go and get along with higher-ups with your sheer manuevering techniques, you may survive and go up and up in the corporate ladder.  If you don't do anything and if you don't know how to manage the show, it's either you end up stagnant in the same space if you are not capable of marketing yourself or enhancing your capabilities and skillset suitably to allow and facilitate yourself to improve your personal profile and get yourself the required impetus and boost to grow further in your career, either in the same organization or elsewhere.  As long as you don't endeavor to do so, you are lost.
