Movie Review: Shamithab (Hindi) (English review)

SHAMITHAB - My review!!
Since Feb 15, 2015 from my Facebook wall:

It's a movie, perhaps 3rd one in the series from Director Balki (Shamithab is after Cheeni Kum and Paa from this director)

If one needs Whisky (or any similar alcoholic quotient) to get into a HIGH, water also required as a mix, however, to reach a greater high, water must be mixed at a lower quantity, else, the required elation does not come. That means, Water has no meaning per se. The level of satisfaction that one drunker gets out of drinking depends on the mix.  However, to reduce the highness of such alcoholic metabolism, one needs water for sure to augment or supplement the whisky or any similar ingredient that otherwise helps one t reach such high.

One actor, who has high ambitions in his youth, whose voice quality gets initially rejected in a Kolkatta All India Radio station during voice tests. His voice is even dignified as that of a villain voice and not that of a hero. Later, that very same becomes the voice of Bollywood or Indian Cinema worldwidie with a tag BIG B in Amithab Bachhan.

There were enumerous creators behind the success of Big B in Manmohan Desai, Sipply brothers, K A Abbas, Yash Chopra to name a few.  There were other younger directors who had their fame and name due to the biggest support of Big B in their life time careers.

Another soul, with similar ambitions came from Bangalore City Bus who was a small time Bus Conductor in Sivaji Rao Geakwad who later became Tamil Cinemas' greatest Icon as a Super Star in Rajinikanth whose success fame and name was due to the initial boost received from Thespian Director K. Balachandar, and later Bharathi Raja, Mahendiran, Balajji, Panchu Arunachalam, AVM films, Sivaji Films to name a few who have helped in Rajini's growth.

Another soul, who started his career as an Assistant Director or Dance Director who later became Ulaga Nayagan, again, with the support and guidance of KB, and all others almost who were behind Kamal Hassan.

Anouther young talent in most recent times, whose father and brother had a filmy background as directors or producers, but this little boy, who was seen as a misnormer in Tamil Cinema, but became an icon purely out of his sheer performances in his early films. That's Danush (aka) Murali (aka) Karthik Raja.

Mix all their early youthhood background in a cocktail that's Shamithab, courtesy Director Balki.

What a performance by Big B, Danush and of course in a few scenes towards the end of the film, Akshara Hassan (Kamal's 2nd daughter) who makes a debu as an actress in this film, who takes away the whole film's efforts by the other two in few scenes.

I won't be surprised, unless any other future films come out in Bollywood or any other language in India, if Big B or Danush would get the Best Actor award with a National recognition.  If one is deprived with that title, the other would quality for Best Supporting Actor here.

It's a good piece to watch, for your money you spend for this one. Watch in Theatres, of course, I must Meastro Ilayaraja for his musical numbers.
