Not sure if I had ever shared this on my Facebook wall, since 6th June 2014:
(Perhaps this thought would have been lingering over my head since the time BJP got an absolutely majority on its own (not needing a coalition support) during 2014 Parliament Elections where then Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi took over the reins of the leading the Nation with an elite team of Ministers. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the outcome!!
It remains to be seen how those at the helm of affairs would prove it.
Few thoughts on this subject.
It needs a clear wisdom and courage for a common man from the lower middle or lower strata of society to ensure:
a) smooth cash flow for the immediate future (say 2-10 years at least) to sustain the most common essentials to survive viz.
food, clothing and shelter.
b) reduce his expenditure to the bare minimum so he can concentrate spending on education, healthcare and a meaningful but practical
living for his family
c) he enhances his academic or professional skillset to facilitate a higher level of income to upgrade himself in the society in the long run.
As long as he can sustain these for 2 decades at least, he would be sure his family is uplifted from LIG to MIG to HIG slowly and steadily
in a meaningful and lawful means without depending on others for help. Also, he ensures he does not become jealous in the process provoked by
societal compulsions to become LIG to HIG overnight, thus allowing himself to go to perils, should he not consider the pit falls in his endeavors.
As far as he has done his part, it becomes his nextgen kin(s) to carry on the mantle to ensure 'there is no looking back' to continue what his parents did for the smooth and sustained wellbeing of the family.
That's how an optimal growth can be achieved in a simple common man's family.
When it comes to family it works so for any common man in any form of governance (be it capitalist, autocratic or democractic even communist form of government.
When it comes to state of affairs and running a smooth governance with a clear vision, these can be translated to ensure a smooth economic sustenance,
financial balance on the treasury, clear economic policies to ensure a smooth Export/Import governance ensuring increased Export and decreased Import thus cost of governance is maintained.
If one can focus on these very basic needs to sustain, he can give an excellent government to satisfy one and all in the social strata. However, for a country like with a wide spread of imbalances
cutting across societal status, demography, fractured infrastructure platform (with no common sharing mechanism in place to share energy, water and natural resources), it remains to be seen how such effective
and economic means of governance is achieved.
Let's be optimistic the new Government works to the above, leave the rest to destiny.
